In the middle of the heatwave, a few more days to go.

Maarten built me this workbench with oak blocks. They were left by Gerard, the previous owner of our house, who was a carpenter. I love it. First step to getting my studio all set up,

Buddy asked me what the arrows meant. Maarten, who used to own a driving school, said: "Cow crossing..don't they have those in America? The arrows mean they can cross from both sides".

Buddy, these are for you!!

We've had no significant rain for months, so we're seeing this a lot these days..both the big sprayers and the dry creeks.

Trying to keep the garden green despite the drought.

Today we saw the mock-ups of about a dozen floats for the Flower Float Parade in Lichtenvoorde later this year. Each mock-up had a 5" figure next to it, so you had an idea of the scale of the float. This white one was one of my favorites. The other photos are of last year's floats.
